There is a park nearby where I walk and where both openly and covertly people feed the feral cats.  As I encounter these cats and their feces and urine on my walks I have often wondered at the links between disease in feral cats and Humans.

So, I googled the subject, and it appears from just a cursory glance at the research over the past few decades that what emerges is a pattern of data that supports the likely emergence of inter-species disease transmission.  Feeding feral cats enabling their waste and presence in public spaces and is a public health risk in my opinion. If these are publicly managed or privately held and managed places, enabling this pattern to continue involves some liabilities for those who encourage, enable and feed these animals.
